Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating transportation operations, ensuring efficient routing and timely delivery of freight. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and have experience with transportation management systems. You will play a crucial role in maintaining communication between drivers and clients while managing logistics to optimize supply chain processes.

Duties

• Utilize transportation management systems to plan and coordinate freight movement efficiently.
• Monitor GPS tracking to ensure timely delivery and address any issues that arise during transit.
• Perform data entry tasks related to shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
• Communicate effectively with drivers via phone systems to provide updates and instructions.
• Collaborate with supply chain teams to enhance transportation planning and logistics strategies.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, deliveries, and customer interactions.
• Utilize GIS tools as needed for route optimization and geographic analysis.
• Address any shipping or receiving discrepancies promptly to maintain service quality.

Requirements

• Proficiency in transportation management systems and GPS technology.
• Experience with data entry and familiarity with freight operations.
• Knowledge of supply chain processes and transportation planning principles.
• Familiarity with GIS applications is a plus.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with drivers and clients.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
• Previous experience in dispatching or logistics is preferred but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 – 50 per week
