Chief JavaScript Developer (React) Description

We are searching for an adept and experienced Chief JavaScript Developer with a specialty in React to become an integral part of our spirited team.

This role requires collaboration with multiple teams and leading a progressive product migration project, supported by robust technical planning and precise execution. The chosen candidate will play an essential role in enhancing our current application's structure and functionality.

Responsibilities

• Lead the progressive migration of the existing application emphasizing technical planning and execution strategies
• Optimize CIDC compilation and runtime performance targets in large SPA environments
• Update and elevate the legacy codebase to meet new standards
• Advance the development of testing automation and improve the test frameworks like Playwright
• Work hand-in-hand with teams to deliver outstanding front-end experiences within scalable, multi-tenant architectures
• Revise and improve existing designs while focusing on visual elements
• Manage effective integration with RESTful APIs and efficient use of SCSS
• Plan and execute A/B tests using platforms like Google Optimize, Optimizely, or VWO
• Engineer responsive designs and oversee mobile notification systems
• Implement offline caching strategies suitable for PWAs
• Provide technical leadership and strategic guidance across various teams

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering
• 4+ years of experience in environments focusing on advanced front-end experiences
• Proficiency in using JavaScript and React + Redux frameworks
• Capability to utilize SCSS and familiarity with RESTful API interaction
• Background in managing large SPA and knowledge of CIDC compilation enhancements
• Experience in enhancing testing automation using tools like Playwright
• Competency in modernizing legacy codebases
• Understanding of PWAs and offline caching strategies
• Mastery of ReactJS and Redux frameworks
• Proficiency in utilizing A/B testing tools like Google Optimize, Optimizely, or VWO
• Expertise in designing responsive solutions and managing mobile notifications

Nice to have

• Qualifications in Amazon Web Services
• Understanding of REST APIs
• Familiarity with Stripe
• Flexibility to use basic testing automation methods
