We are looking for a Truck Dispatcher to join our team with strong leadership and multitasking skills and the ability to handle high volume/busy operations while able to foster and maintain a positive work environment as well as a friendly and exceptional customer service.

Full Time  

Dress code- Business casual/Jeans/Polo/ NO GRAPHIC t-shirts. 

Hours-  Generally Monday through Friday with flexibility for occasional holiday or weekend supervision. Schedule may vary based on operation & specific needs.

Essential Duties 

· Managing truck drivers’ schedules and routes

· Planning pre-determined routes and accommodating route changes as needed

· Scheduling freight to be picked up and delivered

· Providing shipping details to the Management team

· Reviewing logs of truck drivers

· Documenting all calls, deliveries, routes and times for pickups and deliveries

· Completing paperwork related to shipments, such as invoices

· Negotiating rates and delivery time lines

· Keeping DOT information up to date and reviewing GeoTab logs for compliance

· Keeping track of transportation regulations and laws to ensure that truck drivers comply

· Monitoring truck repairs and maintenance schedules

· Any other duties assigned by the local Management

Job Requirements & Qualifications  

· Highschool Diploma, GED or equivalent. 

· 2-3 years of experience as a truck dispatcher in a similar industry.

· Exceptional ability to schedule drivers, plan routes, and dispatch drivers to customer locations.

· Experience with Transportation Management Software (TMS).

· Results oriented, attention to detail. 

· Excellent ability to be organized and to jump from priority to priority. 

· Demonstrates the ability to be flexible in a fast-paced environment. 

· Proficiency in office software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

· Ability to monitor drivers' logs, truck maintenance schedules, and repairs.

· Knowledge of applicable transportation regulations and laws.

· Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.

Physical Requirements:

· Physical ability to stand for extended periods and to lift, push or pull and handle (10-50 pounds) as necessary to operation. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
