  • Prioritize and Triage Care:
    • Prioritize cases based on the severity of the condition, identifying high-priority situations such as fractures, dislocations, or post-operative complications.
    • Advise patients on appropriate next steps, including referral to urgent care, emergency services, or follow-up with an orthopaedic provider.
  • Post-Operative and Post-Treatment Support:

  • Patient Education:
    • Educate patients on their orthopaedic conditions, self-management strategies, injury prevention, and rehabilitation exercises.
    • Provide information on lifestyle modifications and strategies to improve overall musculoskeletal health.
  • Follow-Up:
    • Follow up with patients to assess their recovery progress, answer questions, and adjust care recommendations as necessary.
    • Ensure continuity of care by facilitating communication between patients and their orthopaedic care teams.

  • Phone Triage Experience (Preferred):
    • Previous experience in a phone triage or remote clinical setting, preferably in orthopaedics or related specialties.
  • Excellent Communication Skills:
    • Ability to communicate complex medical concepts clearly and empathetically to patients over the phone.
  • Certification in Orthopaedic Nursing (Preferred but not required):
