Job Summary Under the general direction of the Associate Vice President for Title IX and Equal Opportunity, the Title IX and Equal Opportunity Training and Project Manager is responsible for promoting, tracking and updating the Office for Title IX and Equal Opportunity’s annual training agenda, and developing and delivering Title IX and Equal Opportunity trainings and presentations across campus. The Title IX and Equal Opportunity Research and Project Manager will also be responsible for identifying new campus audiences and training opportunities for campus constituents. In addition, the Title IX and Equal Opportunity Training and Project Manager will lead the office’s prevention and education efforts aimed at students, including creating and publicizing events, formulating campus climate surveys, and working with other campus partners to integrate such efforts into the academic calendar. Occasionally, training sessions may be scheduled during evenings, early mornings, or weekends. The Title IX and Equal Opportunity Research and Project Manager is also responsible for updating and suggesting improvements to the Title IX and Equal Opportunity informational materials in electronic and paper format, including on the Office for Title IX and Equal Opportunity website; maintaining the data communicated to the campus on the website dashboards; and, working with the Title IX and Equal Opportunity Officer, responding in a timely and accurate manner to requests for statistical reports and other compliance information from outside monitoring agencies, the Chancellor’s Office, and the University President. The Title IX and Equal Opportunity Training and Project Manager will create new instruments to track, report, and/or communicate data collected by the Office for Title IX and Equal Opportunity, and train staff members in the use of such tools. The Title IX and Equal Opportunity Training and Project Manager is also responsible, along with other staff members, for conducting intake interviews relating to reports of conduct potentially violating the Nondiscrimination Policy. Duties include, but are not limited to, meeting with both Parties and explaining the investigation process and timelines, informing the Parties of their rights and options, explaining the availability of supportive measures, and thoroughly documenting all meetings and supportive measure communications. This position entails freedom to act within the scope of authority associated with the responsibilities of the position. There is a high level of accountability for most actions taken by this position: to the campus community (faculty, staff, students, and third parties), the Associate Vice President for Title IX and Equal Opportunity, Chief of Staff, and other campus leaders. There is a high level of interpersonal interactions with members of the campus community and others: complainants, respondents, students, employees, committees, administrators, the Chancellor's Office, members of the public, parents, government agencies, etc. Effective problem solving and interpersonal skills are essential to the successful performance of the position's responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Training and Education CSU Title IX and Equal Opportunity Policy Complaint Intake and Initial Assessment Process Creating and Updating Educational Materials and Website Data Maintenance Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (including being a good listener) to interact and communicate effectively with faculty, staff, students, and external constituencies, both verbally and in writing Advanced presentation and communication skills, including ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences Advanced time management and analytical skills Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint Ability to communicate with constituents in a professional and respectful manner Experience with data management, website development, and the ability to structure data in Excel and other formats Ability to manage multiple projects independently in a fast-paced organization with competing priorities and distractions Strong critical thinking, analytical, research, problem solving, and conflict resolution skills Ability to build effective teams through goal setting, defining responsibilities, empowering team members, providing feedback, and adhering to deadlines Ability to use high-level discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality in handling problems of a sensitive nature and security of confidential records Working knowledge of applicable state and federal employment and education laws and regulations Ability to work during evenings, early mornings, or weekends Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution 1-3 years developing, leading, or playing a substantial role in projects and trainings; Demonstrated exceptional time management and interpersonal skills; Demonstrated strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree from an accredited institution in related field, such social work, communications, women's studies, or data presentation, or four years relevant experience Demonstrated experience and skill in developing training programs in PowerPoint or related applications; Fluency in creating informational materials with Adobe creative suite; Demonstrated wide range and ability to compile statistical data for different applications and disciplines; Experience working in higher education; Experience working in Title IX or other related settings Compensation Classification: Administrator I Anticipated Hiring Range: $7,500/month - $9,000/month CSU Salary Range: $4,135/month - $12,288/month The final hiring salary will be commensurate with experience.
