ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree during the length of the program
Current class standing of sophomore, (second-year college student) or above
Strong academic record
Committed and available to work for the entire length of the program
Access to own housing and transportation to/from the assigned Internship site
Must be able to work on-site in Chicago, IL

STUDENTS ACCEPTED INTO THE SUMMER 2025 PROGRAM
Are required to provide a copy of an unofficial transcript or letter from the adviser/registrar showing proof of enrollment
AREAS OF PLACEMENT:
You will be considered for an internship based on the content of your cover letter, as well as your prior experience and interests, as determined during the recruitment process. Areas of placement include:
Broadcast Engineering: Intern will assist with the installation of new set electronics and performer maintenance on broadcast systems.
Digital: Intern will collaborate closely with the Digital Content, Digital Partnerships, Streaming, and Video Operations teams to support content strategy, social media distribution, video archiving, customer relationship management, and digital research.
Marketing: Intern will support brand marketing, sports marketing, social media promotion, event planning, and other event marketing initiatives, including BTN Big 10K, Football Media Days, and B1G Tailgate.
Original Production: Intern will assist in the production of original programming by conducting interviews, screening and locating footage, organizing BTN assets, creating player reels and scenic reels, and participating in Big Ten Football Media Day.
Remote Production: Intern will work with production staff to prepare for live game broadcasts on the Big Ten Network and B1G+. Responsibilities include preparing for coverage of fall sports such as football, assisting with Big Ten Volleyball media days, and organizing various production elements and paperwork for the upcoming season.
Sponsorship: Intern with support the Corporate Partnership department in managing select Big Ten partner activations, which include pre-event planning, on-site event activation (e.g., Football Media Days), and recap reports. The intern will also assist in selecting Summer 2025 Partner Events.
Studio Production: Intern will help prepare for the upcoming season and assist with the production of the B1G Today studio show. Their tasks will include logging games, finding footage, and researching historical stories. Interns will also participate in the planning and production of football and volleyball media events.

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 32-40 hours per week. Please note that schedules vary based on department needs and your availability.
