IntePros is proud to partner with its industry-leading client in the technology and telecom spaces to identify a skilled Release Manager. This is an onsite role in Charlotte, NC.

Responsibilities:

1. Release Planning & Coordination

• Define release scope, schedule, and timelines in alignment with business priorities.
• Collaborate with development, QA, DevOps, and product teams to ensure smooth execution.
• Identify and manage dependencies and risks, ensuring requirements are ready and expectations are clearly communicated.
• Explore alternative solutions and define MVP delivery where needed.
• Plan and execute patches and environment cleanups in collaboration with Amdocs.

2. Release Execution & Deployment

• Oversee build, packaging, and deployment processes, ensuring integration with customer portals and network management tools.
• Implement zero-downtime deployment strategies (e.g., blue-green deployments, canary releases, phased rollouts) in coordination with DevOps and network teams.
• Develop and manage rollback plans to quickly address failures and prevent network disruptions.
• Proactively monitor release progress and resolve issues as they arise.

3. Communication & Stakeholder Management

• Serve as the primary point of contact for release updates, ensuring clear and timely communication.
• Provide comprehensive documentation on release contents and schedules.
• Communicate risks, delays, and post-release feedback to relevant stakeholders.
• Foster cross-functional alignment between teams.

4. Compliance & Quality Assurance

• Ensure thorough end-to-end and performance testing before releases.
• Work closely with QA teams to validate all releases.
• Maintain version control and release documentation in JIRA.

5. Continuous Improvement

• Gather feedback through retrospectives and implement process improvements.
• Identify opportunities to automate and optimize release workflows.
• Uphold best practices for CI/CD and release governance.

Key Skills & Qualifications

• Strong ability to plan, execute, and oversee releases, ensuring deadlines and deliverables are met.
• Understanding of software development, deployment processes, version control, and integration tools.
• Ability to quickly identify and resolve issues that arise during the release cycle.
• Proactive approach to identifying risks and implementing contingency plans.
• Familiarity with JIRA and other release management tools.
• Ability to oversee multiple moving parts and ensure seamless execution from code freeze to deployment.
• Strong ability to work across cross-functional teams, build rapport, and navigate challenging personalities.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage schedules effectively, especially during high-pressure release windows.
• Commitment to evaluating and refining release processes to enhance efficiency and reduce manual efforts.
