Join the Reyes team and become a part of an established Heavy Civil General Contracting firm.

Reyes has variety of clients including the U.S. Navy, Ports of Los Angeles, Long Beach and San Diego, Army Corps of Engineers, and various counties and cities. Our past projects include a wide range of Heavy Civil Construction. We are seeking to hire experienced Project Managers who are able to assist in executing projects throughout the Southern California Area.

General Description:

Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating and managing jobsite work and subcontractors.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Manage Construction of large public works and Federal government projects

· Coordinate the work of subcontractors on existing projects

· Develop accurate and complete subcontractor scope of work, purchase orders, and change orders.

· Prepare and coordinate submittals and Requests for Information with project owner

· Monitor and document safety compliance on jobsites

· Prepare and manage job level budgets, including timely communication to Controller on status of costs incurred vs. budget and updates to projected cost to complete

· Ability to produce concise and complete Request for Information (RFI).

· Identify opportunities for utilization of small business subcontractors

· Ability to understand Contract requirements and identify differing site conditions and/or scope deviations.

· Prepare and negotiate change orders with project owner

· Provide technical and engineering support to Project Superintendents

· Support professional development of project engineers on managed projects

· Ability to prepare meeting agenda, exhibits, and meeting notes.

· Utilize computerized scheduling software to schedule projects

· Utilize estimating software to assist Chief Estimator in the bidding of new projects

· Build effective working relationships with customers, specialty contractors and suppliers

· Perform other duties as needed

Requirements:

· B.S. in Civil Engineering or Construction Management

· Minimum 5-10 years of experience in Heavy Civil Construction.

· Functions effectively as part of a team.

· Ability to adapt to new tasks and or processes.

· Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines while maintaining a focus on quality.

· Strong written, communication, and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent time management and organizational skills.

· Math/ accounting skills.

· Ready to demonstrate good management and leadership skills.

· Willing to learn new skills to enhance career growth.

· Ability to read construction plans.

· Ability to establish and maintain positive owner relations.

Position Details:

· Some travel required

· Permanent Full-Time position

· Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, FSA Program, 401K

· Salary Range: $130,000 to $160,000

· Pre-Employment Drug Screen Required.
