SUMMARY

The mission of all Tops associates is to adhere to the Tops vision of providing a friendly neighborhood store that saves the customer time and money. The Pharmacy Manager is responsible for all pharmacy operations and must be a licensed staff pharmacist. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Follow all Federal, State, and Local regulations as well as company policies regarding Pharmacy operations, safety, and sanitation
• All staff Pharmacist responsibilities
• Ensure proper rotation of medications on a monthly basis while following proper procedure for discarded and recalled medications
• Enforce customer privacy policies while keeping all customer information up to date and accurate
• Achievement of financial goals such as sales, gross profit maximization as well as minimization of shrink and supply expense
• Adhere to company policy through proper processing, preparation, and packaging of prescriptions
• Select, train, develop and schedule all pharmacy associates
• Communicate regularly with all pharmacy associates in order to keep them up to date with relevant information
• Complete all necessary paperwork and billing relating to Pharmacy Department
• Maintain security of all controlled substances
• Maintain adequate supplies, place orders when needed
• Process orders to include filling prescriptions and accepting payment
• Minimize shrink through proper handling and storing of product 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• State Licensed Pharmacist 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Required education to be a State Licensed Pharmacist 
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions
• Possess basic computer skills
• Possess strong communication skills

• Pill Counter
• Ladder (must be 18 yrs. of age)
