- All Care Therapies is *currently seeking a *Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)* to join our team in a home health setting! This is an exciting opportunity to join an evolving therapy team, now expanding to the Greater Las Vegas area. - COTA Responsibilities:*
- Treat *pediatric *patients by using therapeutic and self-care activities designed to improve function under the direction of the licensed ccupational therapist (OTR).
- Monitor a *pediatric *patient's activities to make sure they are performing them correctly and to offer encouragement.
- Contribute to meetings and case conferences to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care plans for *pediatric *patients.
- Document patient's weekly progress in appropriate records.
- Instruct patients, their families and any other caregivers in skills and techniques of the *pediatric *patient's treatment program, under supervision of the Occupational Therapist.
- Demonstrate exercises that can help patients better perform everyday tasks and relieve pain.
- Complete all clinical notes in a timely manner using the company's EMR system.
- Verifies client information by interviewing client, reviewing, and recording medical history, confirming purpose of treatment.
- Follows treatment plan developed in collaboration with occupational therapist by teaching techniques, such as, the proper method of moving from a bed into a wheelchair, and the best ways to stretch and limber muscles.
- Monitors activities to make sure they are performed correctly and provides encouragement, bringing treatment that is not having the intended effect to the attention of the therapist.
- Maintains *pediatric *patient occupational therapy records by recording client's progress for use by the occupational therapist.
- Generates revenues by recording billing information of services rendered.
- Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
- Serves and protects the occupational therapy practice by adhering to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements.

- Qualifications*
- Current NV Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license *required*
- Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Current CPR certification
- At least one year of experience as a pediatric occupational therapy assistant is preferred, *not* required.
- Willingness to participate in continued education courses.
- Compassionate and caring demeanor.
- Current State drivers license and auto insurance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Possess good time management skills.
