Optum NY, (formerly Optum Tri-State NY) is seeking a dedicated, patient-centric Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our growing Cardiology team at our Midtown, NYC location on East 37 th Street . Position Highlights:
* Collegial multispecialty group practice with a large referral base
* Offices offer a broad array of cardiovascular services: exercise stress testing, non-invasive imaging, echocardiogram and vascular studies, nuclear stress testing, pacemakers, and defibrillators
* All specialties on the same EMR
* Robust in-house diagnostic testing facility
* Clinic days are 8:30am - 5:30pm
Responsibilities:
* Assessing and diagnosing cardiac conditions in patients.
* Helping to perform cardiac testing and interpreting results.
* Working with physicians to develop and implement treatment plans for patients.
* Prescribing medication and administering treatment.
* Counseling and educating patients on cardiac conditions and prevention.

Required Qualifications:
* Master's degree as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner from an accredited program.
* Certified as a Physician Assistant through the NCCPA or as a Family Nurse Practitioner through the ANCC and/or AANP.
* Active and unrestricted Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license in the State of New York.
* Active and unrestricted DEA License (or ability to obtain prior to start).
* Minimum of 1 to 3 years post graduate clinical experience highly preferred.
New York Residents Only : The salary range for New York residents is $109,513 to 147,146 per yea r.
