• Location: Dorchester, MA (Boston’s largest and most diverse neighborhood)
• Dates: ASAP start, locum to perm is ideal, will take candidates willing to commit to a minimum of 3 months. Will look at candidates willing to do 3 weeks per month of 3-4 days per week
• Practice Type: Federally Qualified Health Center
• Shifts: Mon, Tues, Weds (8:30am-8pm), Thurs, Fri (8:30am-4pm), Saturday (9:30am-3pm); looking for 32-40hrs per week; 4hr block > 1hr lunch > 4 hr block
• Call: 1 week per month or less. All call is handled by phone – 5 calls per week if on call
• Caseload: 18 patients per day, all ages – after no shows it’s more like 10-12 patients per day; see patients every 20 minutes. 50% Spanish speaking, 33% Creole speaking – have a language service they can dial in but would strongly prefer someone that can speak multiple languages.
• Types of Cases: diabetes, hypertension, cholesterol, bread and butter primary care
• On site: lab and pharmacy – no x ray on site
• Staff: dedicated MA for every visit, RNs on staff at all times, no supervision
• EMR: Athena
• Experience: 3-5 years’ experience, minimum
• Requirements: MA license and DEA, CSR, Board Certified or Eligible
• Travel: must be local candidate
• Cred time: 2-4 weeks
