Job Title: Welder and Fabricator
Job Description

Layout, fit, fabricate, and assemble components for Heat Processing Equipment. Work includes assembly, dismantling, and repair activity.

Responsibilities

• Layout, position, align and fit components together.
• Clamp and tack weld parts to secure proper positioning for welding.
• Set up equipment and weld parts using Stick, ARC, MIG, TIG, and allow welding techniques as needed.
• Assemble parts by welding and riveting methods, ensuring structures are squared and leveled.
• Perform tasks with sheet metal, including fabricating oven panels, spot welding, and applying insulating materials.
• Conduct welding, cutting, and grinding on plate and structural materials.
• Repair or modify products through dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembly.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in Stick, ARC, MIG, and TIG welding techniques.
• Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in welding and fabrication.
• Ability to pass welding and quick math tests.
• Experience with bending metal and cutting angles.
• Fabrication as the main skill set.
• Experience working on structural steel with 1/4"+ gauge thickness.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• No certification required.

Work Environment

Manufacturing environment with a potentially high noise level. Candidates must have work boots (steel toe not required). The position involves 25% welding and the remaining time fabricating, building, prepping material, and installing insulation.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chino, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $29.00/hr.
