Will be helping conduct an efficacy and consumer preference study related to blood pressure cuffs. They will be working with healthy, paid study panelists.
· Paid training
· Once the study starts, they will be responsible for greeting the panelist, completing any registration or data forms as instructed, taking an initial BP reading using an old-timey mercury teaching sphygmomanometer -- this device has two stethoscope ear pieces for two people to measure at the same time. They will record their reading and compare with the other tech. They will then take BP and record readings of the same panelist independently using other BP devices. There will be multiple readings of the same people, with rest times, throughout the day. The panelists will sit quietly in the same spot and techs will move from panelist to panelist, allowing proper rest time between an individual's readings. All day.
· If there are lulls in time, they may be asked to help call people who are scheduled but don't show on time.
Our techs wear scrubs but for this it is not necessary so we can provide a lab coat if they don’t have or want to wear business casual work clothes (no jeans)
