Primary Responsibilities

• Work to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance with quick thinking and adaptability to address unexpected issues by applying proven skills in the principles of mechanics, fabricating, troubleshooting and analytical problem solving while following GMP standards.
• Utilize CMMS system and tablets to receive, generate and complete daily assigned Preventive & Corrective Work Orders.
• Proficient at reading electrical schematics and mechanical diagrams to aid in troubleshooting and to provide recommendations for improvements to Engineers.
• Assist in the development of maintenance procedures and policies.
• Must communicate daily plans and schedules to maintenance team members.
• Train and mentor personnel in the proper methods and techniques of Troubleshooting, Preventive Maintenance, computerized diagnostics and Operation of equipment.
• Assists in identifying training opportunities for maintenance team members.
• Provides mechanical maintenance expertise to manufacturing Engineers by answering questions and requests.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in maintenance practices.
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and plans.
• Ensure you and all maintenance team members are in compliance with safety regulations and standards.
• Implement and enforce preventive maintenance programs and procedures.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure machinery and equipment function correctly.
• Responsible for maintaining and organizing the shop and toolbox.
• Distribute daily pass-down activity email to Plant Leadership.

Required Skills and Experience

• Preferred 7-10 years working experience with mechanical, electrical; including set-up, adjustments, and troubleshooting.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment ( Food industry is highly preferred).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills .
• Knowledge of Health & Safety and Lockout Procedures is an asset.
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance program is an asset.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule
• Complete all other duties as instructed and assigned by Leader.
• Knowledge of using any CMMS is preferred.
• Knowledge of working with Robotics is an asset.
