Position Summary: STARPLUS ENERGY LLC is seeking Korean Language Interpreters for onsite roles. The ideal candidate will have native or near-native fluency in both English and Korean, possess excellent linguistic and cultural understanding, and be committed to delivering high-quality translations.
Roles Responsibilities: - Translate written documents, including emails, reports, marketing materials, and legal documents, from Korean to English and vice versa
- Conduct consecutive or simultaneous interpretation during meetings, conferences, and other events as required
- Ensure accurate translation of content while maintaining the intended meaning, style, and tone of the original text
- Research and stay updated on industry-specific terminology to ensure accurate translation of specialized texts
- Edit and proofread translated documents to ensure linguistic and grammatical accuracy
- Collaborate with other translators and team members to ensure consistency in terminology and style across projects
- Communicate with clients to clarify translation requirements, address questions, and provide project updates
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with privacy and data protection regulations
- Use translation tools and software to enhance translation efficiency and maintain translation memory
- Continuously improve language skills and cultural knowledge through self-study and professional development
- Perform other position related duties as assigned
Requirements Qualifications: Basic: - Minimum Age: 18 years old
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship
- While travel is unlikely, the ideal candidate will be able to travel, with reasonable prior notice as required (domestic and/or international)
- Completely proficient with writing, reading and speaking Korean and English
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be able to interpret within a manufacturing environment
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, or holidays as required
- Proficient computer and internet skills for researching and translating documents
Preferred: - Bachelor's Degree
- Prior experience working as an interpreter in manufacturing environment
