We are looking for a dynamic Injection Mold Designer to join our innovative team! In this role, you'll design precision molds that drive the quality and efficiency of our products. If you're skilled in injection mold design and eager to work on impactful projects in a fast-paced environment, we'd love to meet

What you will get to do:

  • Develop detailed designs for molds, dies, jigs, and fixtures based on customer specifications and manufacturing needs, with a focus on injection molding and compression molding.
  • Work closely with product designers, process engineers, and production teams to ensure tooling designs are optimized for manufacturability, efficiency, and quality.
  • Participate in testing new molds to identify any necessary design modifications.
  • Develop draw dies and progressive dies
  • Design custom machinery to perform product assembly
  • Work with new products team to determine manufacturing processes
  • Support other tool maker and design team
  • Update and edit tooling files when tools are modified
  • Create tooling BOM and generate purchase order request
  • Create and modify engineering drawings to reflect final tool designs for manufacturing, referencing and documentation purposes
  • Assist with troubleshooting tools as they are built and running and
  • Follow the tool through the entire tool design and making progress

What you'll bring to the role:

  • Associate degree in Machining, Manufacturing, Tool and Die, and or design-related program preferred
  • 3+ years' experience in Mold/Tool designing with a focus on injection and compression molding or related preferred
  • Strong experience SolidWorks and Auto Cad experience for integration with Engineering and PD&D teams
  • Ability to create and interpret engineering drawings, CAD files, and solid models
  • Solid experience in metal forming tool and die design
  • Experienced in CAD design/3D modeling is a plus
  • Able to conceptualize and design tools to fabricate parts to specification
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite including Outlook and Excel to create and communicate timelines
  • 3 Axis machining experience a plus
  • Good technical skills and strong mechanical aptitude
  • Excellent follow through and time/deadline management
  • Ability to communicate with others and collaborate with a team
