Bolongo Bay Beach Resort is located on the serene island of St. Thomas in the United States Virgin Islands and is a family-owned and managed beach resort nestled in a beautiful sandy bay along the Caribbean Sea. We are currently the only all-inclusive resort in the U.S. Virgin Islands. To be eligible for this position, candidates must either reside on St. Thomas or be able to relocate before the start date.

Job Summary:

Bolongo Bay Beach Resort is seeking a reliable full-time Houseperson to join our Housekeeping Department. This position reports to the Housekeeping Manager. The Houseperson will play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness, organization and overall functionality of our property. Jobs tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist room attendants by delivering linens, cleaning supplies, and other items
  • Collect and transport linens and towels to the laundry area
  • Respond to guest requests and deliver items in a timely manner
  • Follow health and safety protocols including proper use of cleaning chemicals
  • Report any hazardous damage or unsafe conditions to management
  • Replenish towels and bed linens for rooms.
  • Dispose of room garbage & public area garbage.
  • Clean fans, hallways, stairways, and railings.
  • Supply resort restaurant, front desk, and beach attendants with linen & supplies, as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • Previous experience in Housekeeping, custodial work, or hospitality
  • Fluent in English
  • Good Communication skills
  • Ability to lift up and move up to 70lbs
  • Strong attention to detail and maintaining cleanliness.
  • Ability to continuously walk up and down stairs during 8-hour shift.
  • Ability to stoop, bend, and reach for extended amount of time.
