ComResource is looking for a Health Informatics Analyst.

We are seeking a skilled Health Informatics Analyst to join our team. This role is crucial for managing, analyzing, and visualizing health data to support organizational decision-making. The ideal candidate will leverage SQL, report automation, and data visualization tools such as Power BI to ensure data accuracy, streamline reporting processes, and provide actionable insights for various stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

Data Analysis & Reporting:

  • Develop and maintain complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze health data from diverse sources.
  • Create, manage, and optimize databases, tables, views, and stored procedures to meet health data reporting needs.
  • Automate recurring reports to enhance efficiency, using tools like SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
  • Conduct manual data entry and generate reports from various third-party platforms.
  • Provide market intelligence analysis to benchmark services against competitors.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis to assist operations with business-related challenges.
  • Participate in strategic growth projects aimed at expanding organizational services.

Data Visualization & Dashboarding:

  • Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI to communicate data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to understand reporting requirements and create custom visualizations that support health outcomes and operational performance.
  • Optimize reports and dashboards for performance and usability.

Quality Assurance & Data Governance:

  • Ensure data quality through thorough validation and testing of data extracts and reports.
  • Maintain and enforce data governance standards to ensure the accuracy and security of health data.
  • Coordinate efforts for data connections and extractions from vendor systems.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Partner with clinical, operational, and IT teams to support data-driven initiatives.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI and data literacy.
  • Translate complex data concepts into actionable insights and recommendations.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation:

  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in healthcare, health informatics, and data analytics.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance processes, tools, and methodologies for improved data accessibility.

Essentials:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Public Health, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years in health informatics or data analytics.
  • Proven experience with SQL, including complex queries and stored procedures.
  • Hands-on experience with data visualization tools, particularly Power BI.
  • Familiarity with report automation and large health data sets.
  • Experience working with Electronic Health Records (EHR) data.

Technical Skills:

  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and database management.
  • Strong experience with Power BI or similar BI applications.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing and ETL processes.
  • Understanding of healthcare data standards (e.g., ICD, CPT, HL7) and regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA).

Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and a focus on quality.
