Description:

About Healthrise
Healthrise is a leader in healthcare revenue cycle management and consulting services. We work alongside healthcare organizations to deliver innovative, sustainable solutions that drive performance improvement and optimize patient-centered financial care. Our team members are passionate about making a positive impact, combining industry expertise with a hands-on, partner-first approach.

Position Summary
Healthrise is seeking an experienced Epic Revenue Integrity Readiness Consultant to support health system partners in preparation for Epic go-lives, upgrades, and revenue cycle optimizations. The consultant will focus on ensuring accurate charge capture, revenue protection, and workflow readiness across key Revenue Integrity domains, collaborating closely with operational and technical teams.

This resource will assess current-state revenue workflows, assist in designing and validating future-state Epic processes (charging, coding, billing), perform gap analyses, drive workqueue and reconciliation build readiness, and deliver go-live support to minimize revenue leakage and improve net revenue capture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed assessments of Revenue Integrity workflows across key functional areas: charging, charge capture audits, coding processes, reconciliation, and revenue reporting.
  • Collaborate with operational and IT teams to validate that Epic system design, build, and workflows align with best practices for compliant and complete revenue capture.
  • Lead and/or participate in Readiness Review Sessions and Charge Capture Mapping workshops to identify risks, gaps, and opportunities for revenue protection ahead of Epic implementations or upgrades.
  • Assist in building and optimizing charge review and claims edit workqueues, ensuring clean claims submission and accurate charge routing.
  • Support the development and testing of charge router rules, charge automation logic, and integrated revenue cycle reporting tools within Epic.
  • Provide hands-on support during mock go-lives, integrated testing events, and go-live events, focusing on front-end and back-end revenue integrity checkpoints.
  • Work closely with clinical departments to ensure understanding of chargeable activities, charge entry workflows, and documentation requirements for billing compliance.
  • Identify opportunities to automate charge capture, reduce late charges, and improve first-pass yield.
  • Assist in the development of training content, quick reference guides, and job aids tailored to Revenue Integrity stakeholders.
  • Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) pre- and post-go-live, escalating risk areas as needed to leadership.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to client Revenue Integrity leadership and project teams.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of healthcare revenue cycle experience with a strong focus in Revenue Integrity, Charge Capture, or Revenue Compliance.
  • Hands-on Epic experience, particularly in Resolute Hospital Billing (HB), Resolute Professional Billing (PB), and Charge Router modules.
  • Proven history supporting Epic go-lives, upgrades, or optimizations, especially around revenue capture and billing workflows.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare reimbursement methodologies, coding regulations (ICD-10, CPT/HCPCS), and billing compliance requirements.
  • Ability to analyze complex data sets and revenue cycle reports to identify revenue leakage risks.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across technical, clinical, and operational stakeholders.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
Requirements:

Preferred Qualifications

  • Epic Certification(s) in Resolute HB, Resolute PB, and/or Charge Router (preferred but not required).
  • Consulting experience within healthcare revenue cycle operations.
  • Prior experience with charge master review, charge automation optimization, or charge reconciliation process improvement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with workqueue configuration, charge capture audits, and reconciliation best practices.
