Job Description:

Reporting to the Vice President of Demand Generation, the Director - Global and Field Events will play a pivotal role in orchestrating and executing our global corporate and field events strategy, as well as supporting internal events such as kickoffs, customer advisory boards, and President’s club. Responsible for end-to-end event planning and management (including vendor/agency involvement), this role will oversee everything from planning and budgeting to attendee experience and content curation. Collaboration across departments, and consistent planning sessions with the Chief Revenue Officer and Regional Sales Vice Presidents will be key to success. Effective communication with stakeholders and meticulous attention to detail are also essential for success in this role. The Director, Global and Field Events will also be the primary liaison between marketing and finance and manage the overall marketing budget.

Job Duties

  • Collaboration across departments ensures seamless execution, aligning with branding and boosting engagement
  • Manage the end-to-end execution of corporate and client-facing events including a global user conference. Execution of these events includes planning, branding, attendee experience, budgets, vendors, project teams, content, agendas and desired outcomes
  • Manage keynote production and breakout sessions including both internal and external speakers including show flow
  • Develop joint presence and drive engagement with Partners, as needed
  • Manage ancillary events at the conference such as executive meetings, customer testimonials, press interviews, customer advisory board
  • Collaborate across departments to contribute to event design, agenda development, brand building, and event communications
  • Communications: provide consistent and clear communication of events programs to all stakeholders, including internal briefing documents for events
  • This role will oversee metrics, analytics, and evaluation to measure the success of events, enabling continuous improvement and optimization of strategies
  • Oversee the marketing budget and tracking spend

Required Qualifications

  • 10 + years working and leading an events team at a tech or cybersecurity company
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Experience managing both large and small events in North America and globally
  • BA/BS in marketing, communications, journalism or a related discipline
  • Energy and work ethic required to enthusiastically tackle and achieve huge goals and objectives
  • Prior experience and deep understanding of the security industry, competitors, and related products (including SIEM and security analytics)
  • Public company experience a plus

$180,000 - $200,000 USD

Please note that the annual base salary range is a guideline and, for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location, as well as, knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for benefits, and may be el igible for equity.
