Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Collaborate with Salesmen and Directly with Customers, to identify design requirements, specifications, and create related documents, develop a solution.
· Engineer, design and create prints & drawings: using cartesian coordinates, GD&T fitment tolerances, surface finishes, etc.
· Determine the appropriate methods, departments, machines, materials etc. needed based on the project/job specifications.
REQUIREMENTS:
· 5 years of experience in 3D Design, and Drafting : Provide References
· Experience using AutoCAD, Inventor and Fusion.
· Ability to read and interpret technical documents, drawings, and sketches.
· Experience using measuring devices: tape measure, calipers, micrometers, etc.
· Knowledge using a variety of machining processes (milling, turning, grinding) and fabrication techniques (welding, cutting, drilling).
· Must be able to read and create BOMs.
· Create manufacturing & welding prints for shop use.
· Strong mechanical aptitude and problem solving abilities.
· Reading and converting fractions & decimals, must be able to convert imperial metric units.
· Good computer skills & Basic mathematics skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division & geometry).
· Knowledge of shop & machine safety standards & use of PPE (face-shield, gloves etc.).
· Ability to perform without supervision while maintaining great attention to detail and displaying a goal-driven attitude.
· Employee must be dependable and available for working overtime hours as needed.
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and demanding environment-time management skills required.
· Professional Certifications will be considered!
