As a Corrections Officer , you will be responsible for the oversight, safety, and security of inmates in the county correctional facility. This position requires individuals who are capable of multi-tasking, working effectively with others, and handling various responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Applicants must have basic typing and computer skills to manage reports and documentation.

Key Responsibilities :

• Supervise and monitor inmates within the facility to ensure safety and compliance with rules and regulations.
• Conduct routine inspections of cells, inmate living areas, and other facility spaces.
• Handle emergency situations, including conflict resolution and crisis management.
• Perform security checks and enforce facility policies.
• Maintain detailed reports of incidents, inmate behavior, and facility activities.
• Collaborate with other law enforcement and corrections staff to ensure the orderly operation of the facility.
• Utilize basic computer systems for logging inmate information and generating reports.

Qualifications :

• Valid Driver's License
• No felony record
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Must possess a valid Missouri Driver’s License .
• Ability to pass a background check and drug test .
• Basic typing and computer skills are required.
• Must be capable of working nights, weekends , and in a flexible schedule.
• Strong multi-tasking skills and ability to work well with others in a team environment.
• Must be self-motivated, reliable, and able to follow detailed instructions.
