Corporate Counsel, Buy with Prime & Amazon Multi-Channel Fulfillment

We are looking for a talented and experienced Corporate Counsel to support our rapidly growing Buy with Prime and Amazon Multi-Channel Fulfillment businesses. You’ll be responsible for counseling the sales and business development teams on a broad range of commercial, licensing, technology and regulatory matters, and structuring, drafting and negotiating commercial transactions. You will work directly with the business, serving as lead counsel on strategic issues and deals, and providing day-to-day input on business and strategy, and resolving issues that arise in commercial relationships. You will develop strategies for handling legal issues in creative, business-centric ways, and will build processes that address risk and allow the business flexibility and freedom to move quickly.

Minimum Requirements:

1. 5+ years of legal experience
2. Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
3. Experience in transactional and technology licensing or equivalent
4. A mix of corporate law firm and in-house experience is a plus
5. Ability to work independently while being able to contribute successfully to cross-functional teams
6. Ability to demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations
7. Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through and meet deadlines
8. Strong written and oral communication skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $138,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $229,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
