This Role:

The Channel Marketing Manager reports directly to the Director of Marketing and will be responsible for developing marketing strategies that target specific channels to promote brands, products and product lines. This is a key role within the marketing department with responsibility for developing marketing strategies that target specific channels to promote our brand, products and product lines. This person will drive marketing for key customer meetings & groups with retailers. This person is also in charge of trade show execution for all shows and customer events. This role is a critical lead generation role and will participate in key customer meetings to help close the sale. This role will have one direct report.

What You Will Do:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive trade marketing plan that includes lead generation and trade partner marketing activities
  • Lead the development of forward-looking marketing activities including roadshows, events, trade shows and sponsorships
  • Work closely with trade partners to understand their needs and develop joint marketing programs (both in-store and online) that help them sell more effectively
  • Work alongside the sales leaders and sales enablement to ensure the sales team is equipped with materials needed to drive sales
  • Build a scalable trade marketing strategy using tactics like in-store & online promotions, trade shows, events, packaging and effective point of sale displays with the goal of owning the “last 3-feet”
  • Analyze competitor behavior to optimize marketing strategies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as product management, sales and customer service to align channel marketing activities with overall company goals
  • Help define our channel differentiation strategy through cross-functional teamwork
  • Evaluate the success of trade shows and customer events to ensure we’re driving ROI

How You Will Do It:

  • Analyze market trends to inform trade marketing strategies and identify opportunities to support growth
  • Attend key account PLRs, major trade shows and large customer events to ensure we understand the voice of the customer
  • Do store visits and actively monitor competitive websites to stay ahead of the competition
  • Act as the primary point of contact for sales leaders for trade marketing needs including trade shows, customer events and other customer-facing materials
  • Deep understanding of shopper insights, customer segmentation and other market data
  • Measure and analyze trade marketing metrics to optimize performance, improve ROI, and ensure the company is effectively reaching its various target audiences
  • Champion the brand and all sub-brands by ensuring all trade-driven materials adhere to corporate brand standards

What We’re Looking for:

  • Excellent leadership, teamwork and collaboration skills, with a history of maximizing effectiveness at trade shows, customer events and owning the last 3 feet at retail with key customers like Home Depot, Lowe’s and Menards)
  • Creative mindset, ability to scale rapidly, creating and executing tactics and strategies
  • Expertise in trade and channel management
  • Excellent analytical, written communication, content creation, and presentation skills
  • Graphic design capabilities in Illustrator and InDesign
  • Must be a self-starter who is detail-oriented and well-organized
  • Ability to travel 20-30% for trade shows and customer events

Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, public relations or communication studies.
